This lesson plan explains the steps taken for students to create a booklet retelling Dickinson's "Because I could not stop for Death." Before students worked in groups of three or four, students wrote a quick-write describing what Death would look like as a person to them. They also compared and contrasted the poem with a clip illustrating the Tale of the Deathly Hallows from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1.
